Roof Replacement & Re-roofing

When a roof is past saving, we replace it properly — once.

Some roofs are past the point where repairs make sense: tiles that have gone porous by the hundreds, rusted sheeting past its life, or a structure carrying decades of patch jobs. A replacement is a bigger decision than a repair — which is exactly why it starts with an honest inspection, not a sales pitch. If your roof can be restored for less, that's what we'll tell you.

Our most requested replacement is the tile-to-Colorbond conversion: old terracotta or cement tiles off, structure checked and corrected, new sarking and battens, then Colorbond steel laid to manufacturer specification. Lighter than tile, sealed against ember and dust, and it changes the whole line of a house.

How it goes

  1. 01

    Inspection

On the roof, in the cavity, photos of everything. You see what we see before any quote is written.

  2. 02

    Strip

Old roofing comes off in sections behind edge protection — the house is never left open to weather overnight.

  3. 03

    Structure

Battens, sarking and any timber corrections. This layer decides how long the new roof lasts.

  4. 04

    New roof on

Sheets laid in sequence, fixed to manufacturer spec, flashings and ridge finishing the lines.

  5. 05

    Handover

Site swept, magnetic pass for screws, photo record of the finished roof and every flashing.

Straight answers

How long does a full roof replacement take?

A typical Adelaide home runs two to five days depending on size, pitch, access and weather. We stage the strip so the house is watertight every night — a roof is never left open.

Is Colorbond better than replacing my tiles?

It depends on the house and the budget, and we'll give you a straight comparison at inspection. Colorbond is lighter, faster to install and low-maintenance; tile has its own longevity and look. If your existing tiles are structurally fine, restoration is often the smarter spend — and we'll say so.

Do you handle storm-damaged roofs and insurance work?

We inspect, document with photos, and provide the detailed scope and pricing your insurer needs. Make-safe and tarping come first; the replacement scope follows the assessment.

Does a new roof need council approval?

Like-for-like recladding generally doesn't. A material change (tile to metal) can involve notification depending on the council and the home — we confirm what applies to your property before work starts.
